If you’re anything like me — youngish, native and stubborn — you have a very clear idea of how Independence Day should be spent in Naples. Most self-respecting Neapolitans will be watching the city’s fireworks show on the beach, and those who can’t get there will stay home and set alight their own property, thank you.
