“Modern Marco,” a joint venture of the Marco Island Historical Museum and the Marco Island Historical Society, takes visitors back in time to the mid-1960s, when the concept of the island as it is today existed only in the imaginations of the Mackle brothers — Elliot, Robert and Frank Jr. — who developed it.
